HTC One Finally In The PH

The HTC One has landed on Philippine shores, but this pretty device will cost early adopters a pretty penny as it is priced at P40,900 from Kimstore.

Yes, you read it right. Priced above P40k, just like the iPhone 5 when it first came out.

Specifications:
– 4.7″ 16M-color 1080p Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen w/ 469ppi pixel density
– Quad-core 1.7 GHz CPU, Adreno 320 GPU
– Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset
– 2 GB RAM
– Aluminum unibody
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support; 3G with HSPA; LTE
– 4 MP autofocus “Ultrapixel” rear camera with LED flash / 2.1 MP front-facing camera
– 1080p video recording @ 30fps with HDR mode, continuous autofocus and stereo sound,
– Android OS v4.1.2 Jelly Bean, with HTC Sense UI 5.0
– HTC Zoe
– 32/64GB of built-in storage
– MHL-enabled microUSB port
– Wi-fi / Bluetooth v4.0 / NFC / IR Blaster
– Front-mounted stereo speakers with BoomSound tech
– Non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery

Even though the HTC One lacks a removable battery and microSD card support, it is still as advanced as they come. And with HTC’s supply chain woes, the One also comes with a premium price tag.

But I feel that at this price, the HTC One fails in the bang-for-buck department, even HTC die-hards might find the steep price tag a bit hard to swallow.

Indulge now or wait for a price drop, whatever you choose, the HTC One still makes a strong case for best mobile currently available in the local market, duking it out with the Xperia Z. I smell a Fish Fight coming, stay tuned.

UPDATE
32GB HTC One has since been spotted with a P33,200 price tag at Kimstore on May 1, 2013

  1. Is the HTC One Kimstore’s selling LTE compatible with the Philippines? Is there a specific model # ? For example, with the iPhone 5 it had to be the “A1429”

    • Its for the 32GB version. I believe it is the international LTE version. But will still have to confirm. Thanks for the inquiry, I think I need to clarify that.
